CROSSLOOP
What it is: CrossLoop is free downloadable
software that allows users to securely connect their computers across
any geographical distance. What this means for you is that the knowledge
and services offered by A-Bit Computer can be made available to you without
the additional expenses of an on-site call or a gas-consuming drive to
our physical store location.
What it can do: CrossLoop isn't appropriate
for every kind of computer problem and it isn't a free service for A-Bit
to help you with the aid of their software, but it should save time and
fuel for some basic things. For example, we have found that CrossLoop works
well for software installations, resolving error messages, email problems,
and other minor problems. PLEASE NOTE: You must have high speed internet
AND it must be working for A-Bit to be able to connect to your machine.
How it works: CrossLoop enables A-Bit to
remotely see your screen and control the mouse and keyboard on your computer.
Once you have requested a session and have installed the free CrossLoop
software at the DOWNLOAD link below [we can help you with this step], an A-Bit
computer technician can then safely access your machine remotely and complete
various basic upgrades and repairs from our home office.
How it realy works: CrossLoop is powered by
the proprietary CrossLoop VIP Tunnel, a secure peer-to-peer data transmission
system. CrossLoop encrypts all files and messages exchanged on their network
to ensure user privacy. Only you and your invited friends or family can view
or share control of your computer. A CrossLoop session can only begin on your
computer by explicitly inviting someone to begin a session. All data sent over
the CrossLoop network is encrypted at the endpoints using a 128-bit Blowfish
encryption. CrossLoop has gone to great lengths to ensure that their software
is secure and have designed the application from the ground up with security
in mind. For more detailed information on CrossLoop security, visit their
website at the LEARN MORE link below.
